Liverpool in hunt for Spanish wonder kid

all3points-Liverpool

Liverpool and Manchester United are battling it out to sign Spanish wonder kid Juan Manuel Mata Garcia Mata according to reports over the weekend.

The Daily Star claims both clubs are interested in signing the 18 year striker who is considered to be one of the hottest young properties in Spanish football.

Mata was recently promoted to Real Madrid's first team squad but has become frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities causing speculation that he is set to move away from the Spanish giants this summer.

Bellamy has Liverpool future

Sporting Life

Liverpool have reportedly turned down a £7million offer from
Aston Villa for Craig Bellamy.

The fiery Welsh striker was a surprise omission from the squad that thrashed Arsenal 4-1 on Saturday, sparking fresh rumours that he could be on his way out of Anfield in the summer.

However the Daily Mirror say Rafa Benitez has assured Bellamy he has a future with the club and is expected to be recalled for Tuesday night's Champions League clash with PSV.

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is hoping Benitez changes his mind and will have significant funds to spend in the summer.

Villa Park insiders claim Bellamy will remain on the club's wish-list for as long as possible, and should his situation at Liverpool change, O'Neill will be waiting in the wings to swoop.
