Clinton aims to topple Reds
Clinton Morrison believes his scoring record against Liverpool could give Crystal Palace the edge in Tuesday's Carling Cup tie.
The Republic of Ireland striker has scored four times in five starts against the European champions - once during his first spell with Palace and three times for his former club Birmingham.
And Morrison is confident he can be a thorn in the Reds' side once more in the third-round clash at Selhurst Park.
"Maybe I could be Liverpool's bogeyman, because I've a good record against them," said the 26-year-old.
"I've scored four times against them, and knowing that gives me a big lift going into
 the match."

Welsh must wait for Tigers move
On-loan Liverpool midfielder John Welsh is unlikely to join Hull on a permanent basis until the end of the season.
The England Under-21 star is on loan at the KC Stadium until the end of the campaign but Hull are keen to keep him.
Tigers chairman Adam Pearson said: "We would certainly like to sign him on a permanent basis but it's more than likely that it will happen at the end of the season.
"John is here until then anyway and is clearly enjoying his football and the environment of the club."
Pearson also ruled out the possibility of a swap deal involving Welsh and 17-year-old winger Paul Anderson, who has trained with Liverpool.
The Hull supremo added: "Anderson won't be leaving and has just been promoted to our first-team squad."

Raven earns call up
David Raven has been promoted to the first team squad for tomorrow's Carling Cup clash with Crystal Palace.
Raven, who is captaining the reserves this season, made his first team debut in this competition against Spurs last season and impressed everyone at the club with an assured display. Rafael Benitez will want a similar performance tomorrow as he looks set to hand Raven a place in the starting eleven.
Benitez said: "I have been talking with Paco Herrera and Hughie McAuley about Raven and they told me he is playing well at right back. I want to see him now at another level.
"We have a lot of confidence in Raven and he plays well every game for
the Reserve team."

Benitez fury over stars attitude
Livid Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez staged a Melwood summit yesterday where he told his under-performing players "We need to change our attitude."
The Reds boss says no-one should be absolved from blame for a lack-lustre first half display - including himself and his staff.
Benitez held a Melwood summit on Sunday and forced his players to watch their 45 minute horror show again.
"Everyone must understand these kinds of games are important. It's acceptable to play at the same level as Chelsea and lose, but it's not acceptable to play Fulham, whom we know we are better than, and come away with nothing."

Carra disappointed with league form
Liverpool's defeat at Fulham leaves them struggling to find their form in the league, and Jamie Carragher knows they need to improve.
"It's a big setback for us," he said after the 2-0 defeat. "Before the game, we had had a few draws and we had lost once but with all due respect to them, where they are in the division we should be beating them.
"I am sure all the European stuff will get dragged out again about how we never play well the weekend after a Champions League tie.
"We always seem to have problems after European games. I think it's something like 15 times on the spin that we haven't won after a European game.
"If we carry on like this, it could be a difficult season. We don't just want to do well in Europe. We want to do well in all the competitions we are involved in."

SUNDAY 23
Under-18's turn on the style
Liverpool Under-18s kept up the challenge on Academy leaders Blackburn when they produced an excellent performance to beat Crewe Alexandra 3-1.
Liverpool's goalscorers were Charlie Barnett, Craig Lindfield and Conal Platt and the Reds were well worth their victory.
Crewe played well in fairness and came close to a late equaliser when they hit a post, but on the break Liverpool deservedly wrapped up the points with a fantastic curled winner from Conal Platt to make it 3-1.
Liverpool Under-18s: Paul Lancaster, Francis Smith (Jordan Holmes), Stephen Darby, Calum Woods, Stephen Behan, Charlie Barnett, Paul Barratt (Raymond Putterill), Jimmy Ryan, Craig Lindfield (Ryan Wignall), Conal Platt, Michael Burns.

Benitez: I will send a strong team to Palace
Rafael Benitez has said he will be sending a strong line-up to Selhurst Park for the Carling Cup third round tie at Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
The Liverpool manager says there is likely to be one or two young players in his squad but he will be using all of his first team squad for this match.
Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv: " We have some options for this match. We have a lot of competitions to play for and this year we have more players in the first team squad.
"We will go to Crystal Palace with a strong team, that is the idea."

SATURDAY 22

Rafa bemoans missed chances
Rafa Benitez feels his side had enough chances to get something other than a 2-0 defeat on their trip to Fulham.
''I felt that the result was not good but in the game they had perhaps two chances and scored two goals,'' bemoaned Benitez.

Coleman delight at win
Fulham boss Chris Coleman was full of praise for his side after watching them beat Liverpool 2-0.
On an emotional day at Craven Cottage tributes were paid to Johnny Haynes and then Fulham put on a display befitting of their favourite son.
''It was always going to be hard for us, we were playing a good side but also playing tribute to not only a Fulham legend but a football legend, in Johnny Haynes,''
said Coleman.

Reds slump, Fulham triumph
Those present at Craven Cottage paid their respects to Johnny Haynes and then saw Fulham do a favourite son proud as they outbattled Liverpool in an impressive 2-0 victory.
Collins John scored his third goal in as many games on the half hour mark before Luis Boa Morte doubled Rafa Benitez's woes when he grabbed Fulham's second in
stoppage time.

Rafa wants to get physical
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants to see his side gain a nasty streak.
The Reds struggle to transfer their very good and consistent European form to The Premiership, and Benitez feels his team need to be more aggressive.
"It is more tactical in Europe, and in The Premiership it is far more physical," he said.
"In Europe we are more comfortable because it is not so much of a fight for the ball all the time.
"In The Premiership there are many long balls and then a fight for the second ball on the edge of your box. Whoever gets it controls the game.
"We want to play football in a certain style and we can do that in Europe, but in England it is not always possible.
"We were too nice last season. This season we are getting better.
"We have seen the physical side of the game and we are trying to do something about it."

Finnan's disappointment
Steve Finnan will miss out on a return to his old club because of a groin injury.
Finnan picked up the knock before the Reds played Andelecht in midweek and has not recovered in time to face Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon. The Irish international has spoken of his disappointment in not facing his former club.
Finnan said: "I got an injury the night before the Anderlecht game and I'm gutted to be missing out on a return to Craven Cottage again.
"I missed out last season with a stomach upset and I've not been back there since I left so it is frustrating. It's only a groin strain though and hopefully I'll be back in seven to
ten days."
