Reds rearrange Arsenal match
Liverpool will play their rearranged Premiership fixture at home to Arsenal on Tuesday 14 February (8pm), so long as neither club is involved in the UEFA Cup.
The game was originally due to be played on Saturday 27 August but was postponed due to Liverpool's participation in the European Super Cup Final.

Sami sick after Drogba show
Facing Didier Drogba at his Sunday best can be enough to make any defender feel sick - and that is literally how Liverpool's Sami Hyypia felt after his showdown with the man from Ivory Coast.
Hyypia had spent 24 hours in his sickbed and had not eaten all weekend before having to step out against Drogba and his unbeaten Chelsea team-mates at Anfield on Sunday.
The outcome was not one Reds fans will care to remember. Drogba produced his best display in a Chelsea shirt and was named man of the match after helping set up all the Londoners' goals in a ruthless 4-1 Premiership win.
"It wasn't the best preparation for a game like this, it made it more difficult for me. I was low on energy because I hadn't eaten anything for a couple of days.
"But I don't make excuses, if I go onto the pitch I try 100% and this day wasn't up to
my standards."

Gerrard refusing to throw in the title towel

Steven Gerrard is refusing to concede the title, despite Liverpool's emphatic 4-1 defeat at home to Chelsea on Sunday.
"We're a long way behind but I'm not going to concede any title in October," says a deeply disappointed Gerrard. "I'm the captain of the club and it's my job to drive the lads on. I don't think there's a massive gap between the teams and I don't think the gap is 4-1."

Lampard: Liverpool fired us up
Frank Lampard has revealed that Liverpool's jibes fired Chelsea up before a 4-1 victory that shocked Anfield.
Lampard believes that the runaway Premiership leaders were given the perfect extra impetus they needed to hit top gear by Liverpool's assertions that they held the psychological advantage after knocking them out of the UEFA Champions League last season.
"You could see our focus. We had a big point to prove as a lot of things have been said that we weren't happy about. It riled us a bit this week," said Lampard.
"We are not scared of going anywhere. We have kept quiet, we have not shown any disrespect but have got a lot thrown at us. That made us even more determined.
"We read we were scared to come here. Well there was no fear in any of us today. We showed them we are the better team.
"We had been called a long-ball side and to be honest that is embarrassing. Thankfully, we did our talking on the pitch."

Liverpool U18s 0, Everton U18s 1
Victor Anchebe scored his first FA Premier Academy League goal of the season to give Everton under-18s victory at Liverpool.
The 17-year-old striker pounced after 24 minutes to maintain Neil Dewsnip's side's unbeaten start to the season.
Everton had much the better of the first half and also had chances to add to their lead after the break. Liverpool, though, will feel a little disappointed not to have at least grabbed a point.
A much-improved display in the second half saw John Owens' side fashion several chances, but a combination of poor finishing and some excellent saves from Everton goalkeeper Jamie Jones - making his first start of the season - meant they tasted defeat for only the second time this season.
As the game wore on, Liverpool pressed for the equaliser and with 10 minutes left Jones pulled off one of a number of excellent saves.
LIVERPOOL UNDER-18s: Lancaster; F Smith, Woods, Peltier, Darby; Barrett (Wignall 86), Ryan, Flynn (Barnett 42), Hammill; Nardiello, Lindfield (Platt 61).
Subs: Behan, Roberts.

Benitez: We know we must improve
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez believes his side have performed better than their results suggest after they slipped to a disappointing 4-1 defeat at home to Chelsea.
The Blues became the first side to score four past Liverpool at Anfield in The Premier League to leave The Reds with just seven points from their first six games.
"We have had good games but the difference between a win and a draw is sometimes one opportunity.
"We know we need to improve, but we are playing much better than our results say."

Jose: We deserve more respect
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes it is time his team got the respect they deserved after they dismantled Liverpool at Anfield.
"Eight matches, eight victories and 18 goals, I think it is time to respect my players a little bit more, and Chelsea Football Club and it's supporters," stated Mourinho after
the victory.

Reds Kop a hiding from Blues

Chelsea moved nine points clear at the top of The Premiership as Didier Drogba inspired them to a resounding 4-1 win over Liverpool.
The reigning champions made it eight wins from eight this season with an impressive performance to record their third straight league success at Anfield.
Damien Duff's goal just before the end of the first half put The Blues back in front after Steven Gerrard had cancelled out Frank Lampard's penalty.
A tap-in from Joe Cole, who struck the winner in the corresponding fixture last season, and substitute Geremi wrapped up the three points as Jose Mourinho's men responded to criticism in emphatic fashion.
After a disappointing 0-0 draw in their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday, the second meeting of the two teams in the space of four days turned out to be a much better spectacle.
The fourth goal gave Chelsea their best win at Anfield in 98 years and means Liverpool's hopes of challenging for the title appear to already be over at the start of October.

Dudek ready for Reina fight

Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek is ready to reclaim his first team place having recovered from injury.
The Polish custodian has found himself usurped between the posts at Anfield following Rafa Benitez's purchase of Jose Reina in the summer.
Dudek has missed the first two months of the new campaign with a broken elbow but now fully fit, he is ready to make a case for regular football on Merseyside.
''It's been a new experience,'' conceded Dudek.
''I've never been injured like this but I feel good now. Every day is better and better and after this weekend I will be 100 percent.
''I have been called into the Poland squad for the England game on October 12 and I will try to play a friendly game against Iceland in midweek.''

Parry: No regrets over Owen
Chief executive Rick Parry has no regrets over Liverpool's failure to re-sign Michael Owen from Real Madrid, as the deal "didn't make sense".
The Reds have only scored three goals in the Premiership this season and new signing Peter Crouch is yet to get off the mark, while Owen has netted two in his first three games for Newcastle following his £17m move to St James' Park.
But Parry maintains Liverpool could not contemplate doing business at that price for a player they had sold to Madrid for nearly half that amount just 12 months earlier.
"Life goes on. We were interested, of course, but the deal didn't make sense," Parry admitted. "That one is history and we move on."
Parry does not rue the club's decision to sell Owen in the first place either - because without the England striker Liverpool became champions of Europe for a fifth time.
"With the resources from the Michael deal we were able to bring in Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia who both played an integral part in the Champions League," Parry told BBC Radio Five Live. "There is no time in football for looking backwards. Would we swap winning the Champions League in Istanbul for anything else? Absolutely not."

Benitez: Winger will bring out best in Crouch
Rafael Benitez has admitted Liverpool fans may have to wait until January before seeing the very best of Peter Crouch.
The Liverpool manager is delighted with Crouch's early season performances at Anfield but is well aware that he needs better service from the wings to exploit his ability in the air.
Benitez has admitted he'll again search for a right sided midfielder during the transfer window following unsuccessful attempts to bring in Luis Figo and Simao before the window closed.
"We knew when we signed Crouch he would need support," said Benitez. "We tried, but now we need more time. He's played really well so far and shown good movement. He's won a lot of balls on the floor.
"When he gets it, he gives other players more time to move forward. We know we must support him better, but sometimes that's not been possible.
"I must manage with the team I have and I am happy with what the players have done. We've used Sinama and Cisse on the right, and we're using Garcia, Zenden and Riise on the left.
"We want players to get to the by-line and cross but it's not easy for them. It depends on the style of the player."

Football star faces assault probe
A Liverpool football player is to be questioned over claims he hit a 15-year-old boy.
The teenager alleges Frenchman Djibril Cisse, 24, struck him on the head at a park in the Docklands area of east London, Scotland Yard has said.
A spokeswoman said that officers were called to Broomfield Street on Friday night regarding an allegation of assault on a boy.
It is understood the player will be questioned over the incident.
The Sunday Express said he was filming an advert featuring a mocked-up England versus France match at the time.

Benitez picks faults with Chelsea
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez believes Chelsea's style of play means they cannot be described as a great side.
"Chelsea are a very good team, they are very difficult to beat," Benitez said ahead of Liverpool's Premiership encounter with the Blues on Sunday.
"But to me, Arsenal played much better football two or three years ago. They won matches and were exciting to watch.
"Barcelona and Milan too. They create excitement so how can you say Chelsea are the best in the world?"

Gallas talks sense about Liverpool problem
Chelsea defender William Gallas believes Liverpool will win more games and score more goals if they play Djibril Cisse more often.
Rafael Benitez isn't a big fan of the French hitman and has little faith in his ability and also his mind - see www.koptalkinsider.com - which is a shame as he's a player that excites us. We'd like to see him given a long run in the side because until that happens, the lad's never going to be able to hit form.
Gallas said: "The Liverpool forwards this season are dangerous but they are not as assertive as last year. I don't know why they don't play Cisse more. Along with Morientes, he would form one of the best attacking pairings in Europe."
